Stormwater Management Performance Measures
Client: San Francisco Public Utilities Commission
The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) is developing stormwater management performance measures to be applied to new and redevelopment projects in the City. The Green Building Ordinance, which was recently adopted by the SFPUC, requires new and redevelopment projects to meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards.
WRE participated in the assessment of whether “LEED Sustainable Sites 6.1 Stormwater Quantity Credit (LEED 6.1)” met the needs and goals of the City’s combined sewer system. Recommendations were made regarding whether the credit should be adopted as the stormwater performance measure for new and redevelopment projects.
