WRE is dedicated exclusively to water-related work. While the water industry tends to subdivide projects in terms of the type of water involved (drinking water, stormwater, wastewater), the skill set required to plan, analyze, design, operate, and maintain water facilities of either type is similar. WRE engineers are familiar with the storage, conveyance, and treatment of water in general. They also have special expertise in water conservation and recycling, design of hydropower facilities, hydraulic analysis of bridges, and litigation support in water-related cases.
