YANPET INFRASTRUCTURE EXPANSION

Client: ITT Fluid Technology, A-C Pump

The Yanpet Expansion Project is a major petrochemical project located in Yanbu in Saudi Arabia, on the coast of the Red Sea. ITT A-C Pump provided a circulating water pump for the project’s seawater pump house, and retained WRE to verify that the proposed sump design would allow the circulating water system to perform satisfactorily.

WRE conducted physical model tests to arrive at a hydraulically efficient design for the 60,000 cubic meters per hour seawater pump house. Constructability, cost, and ease of implementation were factored into the selection of alternatives. The selected design was demonstrated to representatives from the project owner, their engineers, and ITT.
